From Surviving to Building a Legacy

Being a single parent is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It took me nearly a decade to transition from surviving on government assistance to standing fully on my own. After leaving domestic violence and a toxic relationship, I found myself pregnant, homeless, and starting over more than once. From a trailer on borrowed land to a run-down house, I pieced together a home for my children using hand-me-downs, craftiness, and faith. Though I often felt alone, God always placed the right people in my path for the exact support I needed at the perfect time—some for a moment, others for a lifetime.

There were setbacks—partners with addiction, job loss, relocations—but each time, I rebuilt. I worked multiple jobs, drove hours to provide, and slowly furnished our lives with intention and pride. Eventually, I landed a livable-wage job in Arizona, moved my children within 10 days and started anew. I made too much money to qualify for assistance, but made too little to be able to make ends fully meet. With the help of my family and friends, I was blessed beyond more than I could ever imagine.

Now, my heart’s call is to help other single parents and single-income families, do the same—transition off welfare, access real support, and build homes and legacies they can be proud of. We may not be able to provide every need, but to bridge any part of the gap, along with creating a community of support for those really seeking to help themselves is worth every trial I faced.

Because I know what it means to fall apart—and I know what it takes to rise up.

Our mission is to empower single parents and families transitioning off welfare by providing essential furniture, household items, and resources, fostering a stable and dignified home environment. We are committed to bridging the gap between financial assistance and self-sufficiency, ensuring every family has the foundation they need to thrive. Through compassion, community support, and practical resources, we strive to restore hope, create lasting stability, and inspire a brighter future for those we serve.
